By capturing a picture (with no data storage on the device), the app initially calculates the average red, green, and blue values from the targeted pixels within the sight. Following this process, it provides color name suggestions through three distinct methods, each explained thoroughly in the app's information section.

Moreover, the app offers convenient functionalities such as a "flashlight" button to toggle the device's light and a "lock" feature for stabilizing the camera's auto-exposure on compatible devices.
